We are a WILD generation full of dreams + passion! Called to transform the nations. I learned if I obey the Lord, He will direct my path. I am a caged l i o n wanting to be set free. How do I find my roar? How can I unleash the beast. There’s something we ‘hate’ about the cage, and something we like. I need to kick the cage in theface. I need step out of my comfort zone every single day. By ripping the labels I’ve given myself/and others. But most importantly to say yes to the Lord. The more convinced of His love, the more I am set free.
During the second week, I found out evangelizing isn’t scary. As a class we were required to go downtown and share the ‘good news’ How nervous was I? SO nervous… gah over nothing! I found out to evangelize means to have a relationship. To take the time, to stop and hear each other’s stories. I ended up meeting a Vietnam Veteran. His name is Bill. He reminded me of a pirate. Looks and all! Bill just wanted to talk to some good looking ladies (old men and their charm). He was hanging out on the boardwalk between kona inn and the canon club. Just passing time, and hanging out with a buddy. Simple minded and was up for listen and someone to talk to. We didn’t have a full blown conversation.. yet. But for the few minutes we talked, you could tell behind those eyes he has stories. In which I would love to hear. So wise, and so much you can learn out of the elderly.
After talking to Bill I felt encouraged, hopeful, and relieved. If this is what Jesus did. Sign me up. “We are created for a relationship”- Philip Lin.
Plain and simple we are called to love.
Mark 12:31 “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Each week I’ve asked the Lord to give me a word for that week.
Week one: Receive. In the prayer room He whispered ‘receive’, over and over again. I asked receive what, receive what. Later in the week we had a prayer session for Philip Lin my DTS school leader. Long story short he came into class with crutches (the past 10 years he’s had multiple surgery on his right knee). We all joined together as a class, and prayed for a healing. Joy a women of God in my class, prayed out she also struggled with having bad knees. I felt the Holy Spirit (physically tugging from the inside) telling me to confess I have bad knees as well. I felt released once I did..The Lord did a miracle on my Knees, I know he transformed my knees. HE HEALED ME! I know for a fact that HE strengthen my knees. After standing up and praying again for Philip I felt a numbness and shooting jolt go up my left leg. GO GOD! I know He wants me strong, and healthy for all the adventures and journeys He has for me. Lord you are the ultimate healer. To God be all the GLORY!
1 Peter 2:24: He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.
Week two: Communicate. The prayer room is what I look forward to each week. It’s were I can feel Jesus and meet with Him face to face. He gave me the word communicate. He showed me my destiny, my ancestry. A flash of Morse code came to mind (the electricity running in my skull side to side, and front to back) making a Cross. He showed me the legacy that must live on! Did I mention how many goosebumps I had?! This week I’ve been needing to update to you all on how my time here in Kona has been amazing! So like above he told me to sit down and communicate with you guys.. aka my blog! Now that it is the weekend.. I have time to sit down and dedicate my time to you all!
As soon as I walked into the classroom, I knew I was home. The white board quoted “Paint with LIGHT’ which elaborated into being the LIGHT of the WORLD. (My favorite verse!!!) For the first week of DTS we had Susi Childers the founder of PhotogenX ministry back in 2005. What an amazing Women she is, We couldn’t have had a better speaker for the first week. SO Inspiring, courageous, adventurous, thrilling, and beyond imaginable. It’s every photographers DREAM! Here’s a short overview of the week. (I will upload podcasts from her testimony, You’ll want to hear it!) She talked about how our cameras are an easy ministry tool. Evangelism is all about relationships, how does my DSLR help? Its an easy conversation starter, which leads into sharing the good news! Each day has been testing me, and shaping me into a Women after God’s heart. The more I put in and press on, the more God will bless me. HE is forever faithful and oh so good.
Isaiah 45: 3 “I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places”.
Being a ‘voice for the voiceless’ a vision and dream Susi had from God. To be a voice for the men and women around the world who are trapped. “When people are suffering and dying the world does not care, we need to stand up and be the light!” -Susi Childers

Who or what would I like to photograph? I had to pray and seek the Lord for help. I had a vision of a group of children, and me at knee level hugging child after child. The fullness I felt in that moment was Jesus’s love. Powerful.. Another vision I had was me standing on top of a hill. My surroundings were very green and tropical…(*hint* my outreach location pin points my vision!) How faithful My Lord is, I don’t deserve His love and grace… I encourage YOU to DREAM BIG, Nothing is to big for our Lord. Ask and you will receive.
